Jeddah Season 2027 is expected to run across the summer months, following the established pattern of the Saudi Seasons programme managed by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA). The 2025 season launched on 12 July under the theme “Jeddah is Different,” and the 2026 season ran a similar summer schedule. Specific 2027 dates and themes will be announced by the GEA, typically in spring ahead of the summer opening.

What Jeddah Season Involves

Jeddah Season is one of several Saudi Seasons events — alongside Riyadh Season (which runs in autumn/winter) and AlUla Season — designed to expand Saudi Arabia’s domestic and international tourism calendar. Jeddah’s edition leans into the city’s Red Sea coastal setting and its reputation as the Kingdom’s most culturally open city.

Recent Jeddah Seasons have included:

Concerts and live performances across multiple venues including the Jeddah Corniche Amphitheatre and the Obhur coastal zone. International and Arab artists perform across the summer programme — 2026 included names from across the Arab world alongside international acts.

Themed entertainment zones across the city. The Obhur West Coast zone has become a consistent fixture, combining beach activities, water sports, food stalls, and interactive zones. Al-Corniche itself fills with pop-up attractions, food trucks, and family activities.

Cultural programming in Al-Balad, the UNESCO-listed historic district. The old city’s merchants’ houses and coral-block architecture become a backdrop for evening events and cultural walks.

Seasonal activations at Al-Shallal Theme Park on the northern Corniche and the Red Sea Mall area.

Jeddah as a Base

Jeddah is Saudi Arabia’s most accessible coastal city for international visitors, with King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) connected to destinations across Europe, Asia, and Africa. The city sits on the Red Sea and is the gateway to Mecca and Medina for pilgrims, but it functions as a full-service leisure destination in its own right — the Corniche stretches for roughly 30 kilometres, Al-Balad is a UNESCO site of genuine historical depth, and the diving and snorkelling off the northern reefs is among the best in the Red Sea.

Summer in Jeddah is hot and humid — temperatures in July and August routinely exceed 40°C, with sea breezes providing some relief along the Corniche. Most Jeddah Season activities are scheduled in the evenings and at night, when conditions are more comfortable. Coastal venues with air conditioning or sea breezes become the main draw.

Practical Tips for 2027

Dress code: Jeddah is the most relaxed of Saudi Arabia’s major cities for dress conventions, but public modesty expectations still apply, especially in Al-Balad and non-tourist areas. Resorts and entertainment venues within Season events typically apply more relaxed standards.

Booking: Concert tickets for headline acts within Jeddah Season sell quickly. Once the 2027 programme is announced, purchase through the official Platinumlist or Enterta platforms used by the GEA for Saudi Seasons events.

Getting around: Ride-hailing via Careem and Uber is reliable in Jeddah. Car rental is practical for longer stays given the city’s spread along the coast. Jeddah tours and activities can be booked in advance for structured visits to Al-Balad, the Corniche, and day trips to nearby sites.

Insurance and connectivity: Travel insurance for Saudi Arabia is worth arranging before you travel — standard policies covering medical and trip disruption apply. An eSIM for Saudi Arabia avoids roaming charges and can be set up before departure.

Check the Visit Saudi website (visitsaudi.com) and the GEA’s official channels for the confirmed 2027 programme announcement, expected in Q2 2027.
