Riyadh Boulevard is the largest entertainment district in Saudi Arabia. Opened in 2017 as a seasonal attraction, it has since expanded into a year-round destination with amusement rides, live events, international restaurants, and enough neon to light a small city. For visitors staying in Riyadh, a night at Boulevard is one of the most accessible ways to see the city’s appetite for large-scale entertainment — and it’s where many Saudis, especially families and young adults, choose to spend their evenings.
What Is Riyadh Boulevard?
Boulevard World is located in the Al-Nakheel district of north Riyadh, covering approximately 700,000 square metres. The complex is divided into two main sections: Boulevard World, which features themed entertainment zones styled after different global destinations, and Boulevard City, a separate mixed-use development next to it that includes a high-street retail strip and restaurants.
The whole area is walkable from end to end in around 30 minutes, but most visitors spend two to four hours if they’re eating and doing rides.
Rides and Attractions
The flagship ride is The BLVD Wheel — a 55-metre observation wheel with enclosed gondolas offering views over the Riyadh skyline. Ticket: approximately SAR 45–60 per person as of 2026.
Speed Park inside Boulevard World has go-kart tracks and bumper cars geared toward families; individual ride tickets range from approximately SAR 30–75 as of 2026. A wristband covering multiple rides is available during peak season — check current pricing at the gate.
The Drift zone has a motorsport-themed track where drivers can take passenger rides in drifting cars; sessions run approximately SAR 100–150 per person as of 2026.
For children, a dedicated Kids’ Zone has smaller rides and carnival games. Most rides have height restrictions posted at the entrance.
Beyond rides, Boulevard World’s themed zones — styled as pastiches of Tokyo, Andalusia, New York, and others — are mostly pedestrian shopping and dining areas rather than immersive experiences. The production values are high; the content is primarily restaurants and cafés framed by elaborate facades.
Events and Seasons
Boulevard runs its biggest programme during the Saudi Seasons calendar, particularly the Riyadh Season (typically October to February). During this period, headline concerts by Arab and international artists, comedy shows, and sporting events fill the main stage. Past performers have included major names from the Arab world and internationally. Ticket prices vary widely — SAR 100 for general admission to SAR 600+ for headline shows. Check the official Riyadh Season app or riyadhseason.sa for current event listings.
Outside Riyadh Season, Boulevard operates as a normal entertainment and dining hub year-round, though the event programming is significantly reduced from April through September.
Restaurants at Riyadh Boulevard
The restaurant selection is one of the strongest draws. A sample of what’s currently operating:
Texas de Brazil — a churrascaria-style all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse. Approximately SAR 180–220 per person including the salad bar as of 2026. Good for groups.
The Cheesecake Factory — the US chain has several Saudi locations; the Boulevard branch is one of the busiest. Burgers, pasta, and the eponymous cheesecakes. Approximately SAR 90–150 per person.
Ninive — upscale Lebanese and pan-Middle Eastern cuisine in a more formal setting. Approximately SAR 150–250 per person. Reservations recommended on weekend evenings.
Salt — the homegrown Saudi burger chain that became one of the country’s most successful food brands. Smash burgers and milkshakes; approximately SAR 50–80 per person. Usually has a queue, but it moves quickly.
Krispy Kreme, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, and similar chains are present throughout the complex for quick stops between activities.
Alcohol is not served at any venue in Saudi Arabia. The drinks culture revolves around fresh juices, specialty coffee, and mocktails — most Boulevard restaurants have good non-alcoholic beverage lists.
Getting to Riyadh Boulevard
By car or ride-share: Boulevard is approximately 20–25 minutes from central Riyadh (Al-Olaya district) in normal traffic. An Uber or Careem will cost approximately SAR 25–45 each way. Paid parking is available on-site; on busy nights (Thursday and Friday), arrival after 8pm means a 15–20 minute walk from the far car park.
By Riyadh Metro: The Riyadh Metro’s Green Line (Line 5) has a Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road station approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Boulevard World. This is a practical option to avoid parking on peak nights. Metro tickets cost approximately SAR 4–8 per trip as of 2026.
Taxi/Bus: Taxis from the city centre run approximately SAR 30–55. Bus connectivity to Boulevard is limited; ride-share is more practical.
Opening Hours
Boulevard World is generally open daily from 4pm to 1am, with extended hours on weekends (Thursday and Friday) to approximately 2am. Hours vary during Ramadan and peak Riyadh Season events — verify at boulevard.com.sa or the official social media channels before visiting.
Rides and attractions close at different times from the dining areas; if you want to do rides, aim to arrive by 9pm.
Entry Fees
There is no general entry fee to walk through Boulevard World or Boulevard City — access to the common areas, promenades, and most dining venues is free. Rides, shows, and specific attractions have individual pricing as noted above. Some events during Riyadh Season require purchased tickets in advance.
Tips for Visiting
- Peak times are Thursday and Friday evenings from 8pm–midnight. Crowds can be significant; queues for rides and popular restaurants are longest in this window. Arriving earlier (4–7pm) or on a weekday gives a noticeably different experience.
- Dress code: Smart casual is the norm. No dress code is enforced at the entrance, but visitors in very casual clothing may feel underdressed at the upscale restaurants.
- Weather: Riyadh summers (June–September) are extremely hot — temperatures regularly exceed 40°C. Evening temperatures drop but remain 30–35°C. Boulevard is largely open-air, so summer visits require comfort with heat. October to March is the optimal window.
- Family facilities: Prayer rooms, nursing rooms, and family-designated seating areas are well signposted throughout. Boulevard is explicitly family-oriented in its layout.
- Photography: Generally permitted throughout the common areas. Individual shows and events may restrict photography — signs are posted at entry points.
